DIRECTIONS

Villa Golf can be found by following the A264 Tunbridge Wells to East Grinstead Road and turning down Oak Lane, which is situated on a bend, halfway between the two.

Follow the lane for 1 mile through the village of Blackham, past the church and village hall. Cross a brick railway bridge over a train line down into the valley and Villa Golf is on the right before a tight s-bend.

If using a satnav use the postcode TN3 9UN and select Villa Farm if Villa Golf Course doesn't show.

HEVER CASTLE

Nearby is Hever Castle & Gardens, dating back to the 13th century, it was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII and Mother of Elizabeth I.

POOH CORNER

Built in 1703, Pooh Corner is a building on the edge of the 100 Acre Wood (the Ashdown Forest) in Hartfield. It's the sweet shop where Christopher Robin and AA Milne used to frequent and is now a spiritual home for Winnie the Pooh fans worldwide.

THE SPOTTED DOG

A beautiful 15th Century, white weather-boarded, Grade II listed free house, perched on a hillside, located on Smarts Hill in the picturesque village of Penshurst. Set in good walking countryside, this is a deservedly popular refreshment stop for walkers and dogs (spotted or otherwise).

CHIDDINGSTONE CASTLE

 Chiddingstone Castle is an historic house, set in 35 acres of Kentish countryside, filled with extraordinary treasures collected over a lifetime by Denys Eyre. It has Tudor origins, Victorian rooms and was remodelled in the 19th century to resemble a medieval castle.

GROOMBRIDGE PLACE

Records show a moated castle stood on the site in the 13th century with the house standing today built in 1662 as its replacement. As well as an Enchanted Forest, the estate boasts more than 200 acres featuring formal gardens, a canal, vineyard, farmland and ancient woodland.
